Akari – the Japanese word for “light” – is the inspiration for the latest project, which showcases the high level of personalized craftsmanship and detail available to you with UNICA Bespoke.
The Glass Cabinets
The glass cabinets are made with “Slim H” doors that feature a frame in Anodic Bronze and Canaletto Walnut strips set over the glass. Inside, the cabinets match the finish used for their surrounding elements: Walnut for the island, Inalco Geo Gres Abujardado for the upper cabinets. This creates impeccable visual harmony. Vertical LEDs installed along the interior side panels provide the sophisticated illumination that becomes the defining trait of the kitchen.
The Island
The other side of the island was designed to evoke Japanese aesthetics. The thin Telaio 28 frames in Black Walnut, with the handle integrated within the frame, give it a timeless feel. All the elements were made to measure, as noticeable in the side panels matching the thickness of the countertop.
The Wall Unit
On the wall, tall and base cabinets feature Cast Iron lacquer doors in Ombra color for a very contemporary look. Inside the cabinets, the Walnut finish is a welcoming embrace that ties every part of the kitchen together.
Each unit was accessorized inch by inch to follow the client’s specifications. For example, the base of the aluminum-framed glass shelves is fitted with a special stemware holder. The distance between the shelves is customized to make the most of the space based upon the intended use. Likewise, each drawer comes with its own set of perfectly fitted inserts to match the client’s storage requirements.
On the base cabinets, the integrated Step handle provides an ergonomic grip. The handle was tailored to run across the three cabinets, starting in the middle of the two lateral cabinets to add an aesthetic accent.
